Our Preschool 3’s program runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 12:30pm.  It starts the Tuesday after Labor Day and ends on the Thursday before Memorial Day.  We use the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold as a basis for our lesson planning and assessment. Along with those research based tools, we also utilize Ages and Stages as our developmental screener. This tool is helpful in determining where to begin challenging the children individually with regard to their learning and development. We feel that children learn best through play and the Creative Curriculum emphasizes this method of learning.  Within this curriculum, various interest areas are available for the children to explore during free choice time as well as large group, small group and outdoor times. Teachers utilize teachable moments to expand on the immediate interests of the children.
